SMS & Trusted-Contact Notification Terms
Last updated: October 31, 2026
OLURT is in development and is not yet available to the public. OLURT is designed to send text messages and automated phone calls to an OLURT user's trusted contact. These terms describe how trusted-contact notifications are intended to work. Details may change before OLURT is available.
1. Program
- Program name: OLURT Trusted-Contact Notifications
- Operated by: OLURT, operated by a sole proprietor
- Sending number: 1-866-942-9410 (toll-free)
- Message provider: Twilio
- Support: support@olurt.com
2. What this program is, and isn't
OLURT is an overnight low-glucose alert app in development, for adults with Type 1 diabetes and parents of children with Type 1 diabetes. For adults using OLURT for themselves, OLURT is designed to notify a person they trust (a "trusted contact") by text message and automated phone call under OLURT's alert rules, for example if an overnight low alarm isn't acknowledged, or if glucose is still low at a recheck.
- These are notification messages about an OLURT user. They are not marketing, and we will never use them to advertise.
- They're separate from the OLURT email waitlist. Joining the waitlist doesn't sign you up for texts or calls, and agreeing to texts or calls doesn't add you to the waitlist.
- These terms don't cover OLURT's experience for parents of children with Type 1 diabetes.
3. Who can receive messages, and how they agree
- Only a person who has personally agreed to be a trusted contact for an OLURT user. An OLURT user can't agree on someone else's behalf.
- Agreeing isn't required to buy or use anything.
- We'll describe here how a trusted contact gives their agreement, with the exact wording a contact sees, before OLURT is available to the public.
Sample confirmation message (wording may change)
OLURT: You've agreed to get trusted-contact notifications for [first name]. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
4. Texts and automated calls
- OLURT is designed to send notifications as text messages and as automated (prerecorded or artificial-voice) phone calls from the number above.
- The agreement wording will say exactly what a contact is agreeing to, including whether it covers texts, automated calls or both.
- We'll add a sample notification here before OLURT is available to the public.
5. Message frequency and costs
- Message frequency varies. Messages are sent only when OLURT's alert rules call for them, which may be rare or several in one night.
- Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier.
6. Stopping messages, and getting help
- Reply STOP to any OLURT text to stop texts. We'll send one message confirming you've opted out.
- Reply HELP for help, or email support@olurt.com.
- We'll describe here how to stop automated calls, and how to agree again after opting out, before OLURT is available to the public.
- We'll explain here whether and how an OLURT user is told when a contact opts out, before OLURT is available to the public.
Sample HELP reply (wording may change)
OLURT trusted-contact notifications. Help: support@olurt.com. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
Sample STOP reply (wording may change)
OLURT: You're unsubscribed from OLURT trusted-contact notifications and won't get more texts.
7. Delivery is not guaranteed
Texts and calls depend on mobile networks, phones and settings outside our control. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages. OLURT notifications must never be anyone's only way of knowing about a low. OLURT users should keep using their CGM, its alerts and their care plan as their healthcare team advises.
8. Supported carriers and countries
We'll list supported carriers and countries here before OLURT is available to the public.
9. Privacy
See our Privacy Policy. Mobile information won't be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
